Your safety is our priority.
At Smith’s Lawyers, we take the safety of our staff and clients seriously. This includes managing the ongoing threat of the COVID-19 pandemic in order to minimise the impacts on the wider community.
We will be lead, as always, by the health advice of the Queensland Government. From time to time, this may impact how we interact with you.
This page will be regularly updated as new health information becomes available.
In light of recent health advice from the Queensland Government, Smith’s Lawyers are currently unable to accept walk-in or in-person appointments at any of their three office locations. This applies whether or not you live in the current lockdown areas of Southeast Queensland, Townsville or Palm Island.
If you’re looking for free advice on your rights, we ask that you arrange appointments with us via telephone only. We’re still open and here to help.
For existing clients, it’s business as usual here at Smith’s Lawyers and our team will continue to progress your claim. Conferences and important meetings can usually be held virtually but our team will be in contact with you to discuss any travel impacts or scheduling. We recommend keeping non-essential travel to a minimum where possible.
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms or have been to an exposure site, we encourage you to get tested and self-isolate until you have received a negative result.
You can find out more information about the lockdown and any current restrictions on the Queensland Government website.
Please contact our office on 07 5553 7888 if you have any concerns. We’re here to help.
